  • Cinnamon Roll Fundraiser

    Cinnamon Roll Fundraiser

Want to try a “taste” of HC?

Extended time to order!! From now through 4pm Friday, January 10 we are taking pre-orders for our famous Holland Christian cinnamon rolls made fresh to pick up on January 15-17, with all proceeds to benefit HC’s Tuition Grant Fund. Parents, how about a morning of our famous Holland Christian cinnamon rolls to give your students’ spirits a lift? Grandparents, send them to the grandkids to encourage them as they get started on their second semester. Or send a couple dozen to a local business to encourage them today!

Our incredible food service staff is always innovating, and have suggested a change to make the cinnamon rolls even more delicious. We know what you’re thinking, but don’t fret! This isn’t some “New Coke” kinda situation–the recipe remains unchanged, but the cinnamon rolls will be half the size so that the gooey-core to dry-edge ratio is even higher, and you’ll get twice as many with each 12×18 tray holding two dozen rolls instead of a single dozen.

You can make your cinnamon rolls a full meal by adding any of the soups we’re also offering, courtesy of Frandale Fundraising; cheesy broccoli, homestyle chicken noodle soup, and white bean chicken chili are all available in 16 oz containers through the order form below.

Cinnamon rolls will be made fresh Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday, January 15-17, and can be picked up on your requested day at Door D nearest the cafeteria of HCHS from 1-2:30pm. Cinnamon rolls are $40/tray and need to be preordered by Wednesday, January 8 through the order form below. Last time the orders went crazy fast, so order soon!

Want to contribute to the Tuition Grant Fund through this fundraiser, but don’t actually want or need the cinnamon rolls? Fill in the “Extra Sweet TGF tip” to make a tax deductible donation to the Tuition Grant Fund. Questions? Contact Michelle at mschaap@hollandchristian.org.

  • Singin’ in the Rain

    Singin’ in the Rain

    Holland Christian High School
    November  21-23

In the glittering Hollywood of 1927, silent movie star Don Lockwood appears to be on top of the world. His charisma and intense on-screen chemistry with his gorgeous co-star, Lina Lamont, has made them both household names, as well as one of the tabloids’ favorite couples. However, the arrival of The Jazz Singer, the first “talking picture” of the ’20s, threatens to upset everything. Don can dance and sing, but Lina … well, Lina is a silent movie star for a reason. As the studio struggles to adapt to the new “talkies,” Don meets Kathy Seldon, a feisty young actress who may prove to be their salvation–as well as possibly the first person who sees beyond his fame and likes him for the person he really is. But Lina is as possessive as she is pretty, and her jealousy just might doom everyone.

Anchored by witty dialogue, catchy songs, and playful choreography, “Singin’ in the Rain” is a joyful American classic and a comedic adventure for the whole family.

Four shows this week! Purchase your tickets for Thursday, Friday, or Saturday performances!

  • Parent University

    Parent University

Holland Christian Schools will be facilitating an event that we’re calling Parent University:  A conversation with parents around Jonathan Haidt’s Book: The Anxious Generation.

Aim: How, collectively, parents can make helpful choices to counter the smartphone culture and guard their children’s hearts.

Focus: We will focus on the detrimental effects too much technology has on our children. We will dive into data that demonstrates the psychological damage that can occur to children immersed in a phone-based childhood. Join us in these conversations and walk away with information that will make a difference not only in your child’s life, but their time here at Holland Christian Schools. Plus, thanks to a generous donor, attendees will receive a copy of Haidt’s book!

Who: Parents of all levels of Holland Christian students, along with any neighbors or friends they care to bring along.

Where & When: HCHS Auditorium, 7-8pm, Tuesday, October 29

We kindly ask that you RSVP for Parent University so we know you’re coming!

  • Hiring Bus Drivers!

    Hiring Bus Drivers!

HCS needs bus drivers! Not only will we pay for your training, we’ll work around your schedule and interests!

    • HC has many field trips and athletic trips that are available to bus drivers on a first-come basis, since trips are posted on a bid sheet where drivers can sign up as they are available.
    • We have consistent daily routes and trips also available.
    • Sometimes we have drivers who love attending certain sporting events, so they sign up for driving only for a season of tennis or cross country, for example. It all depends on your availability!

HC covers all training and testing expenses. Our drivers must:
    • Pass an annual physical at Concentra
    • Take and pass the written and road CDL tests
    • Receive 10 hours of behind the wheel driving with a certified trainer.
    • No training needed if already certified!

  • HC Stories

    HC Stories

Check out our growing list of HC stories, and meet a variety of families at Holland Christian, some new to HC and some multiple generations old! Each of these families listed were willing to share their story and their reasons for choosing Holland Christian Schools for their children with the larger community through their choice of media. It’s been such a joy to meet so many authentic families with an inspiring passion for Christian education, and then run into them in the halls, the pick up lanes, the football stands!

If you are interested, we would love to hear your family’s story as well–just fill out the “Share Your Story” form at the bottom of the webpage and linked below!

  • Business & Industry Drive

    Business & Industry Drive

On October 25, the last Wednesday of October, we send out 50-60 volunteers including alumni, high school students, and HC staff, all carrying freshly made HC cinnamon rolls. They visit a host of area businesses in pairs, drop off cinnamon rolls, and often collect donations right on the spot.

If you or your business would like to be involved, or if you would be willing to spend a few hours on October 25 visiting area businesses on behalf of Holland Christian Schools, please contact Leanne Halma at 616.820.2811 or lhalma@hollandchristian.org.

  • Cheerleading Clinic!

    Cheerleading Clinic!

Maybe you saw them all lined up at last year’s Homecoming Game cheering their hearts out. Or maybe your daughter loved it so much last year, that she wants to do it again! HC cheerleading alumni are holding an HC Girls Cheer Clinic for any preschool-6th grade girls interested in cheerleading at the 2023 Homecoming Game on Friday, September 15! The clinic on Saturday, September 9 (9-11:30am), costs $25 through August 30 and will involve learning a dance and cheers taught by alumni cheerleaders. The girls will then cheer during the 2nd quarter into halftime of the Homecoming Football Game on September 15.

For the Saturday Cheer Clinic, the girls will need clothes they can move in, shoes they can be active in, and a water bottle. We will have T-shirts similar to last year’s for each girl at the clinic on Saturday, September 9 so they can wear them to cheer in the Friday, September 15, Homecoming game. Please register by August 30 so we can order the correct number of T-shirts for the girls. We cannot guarantee T-shirts after August 30, and the cheer clinic price increases to $30 on September 1.

Register here for the HC Girls Cheer Clinic.

    • Saturday, September 9: 9am-11:30am @ the HS Gym
    • Friday, September 15: Time TBD @ the HS Gym
    • Homecoming Game on September 15: 7pm @ the HS Stadium
  • Senior Camp 2026 Registration

    Senior Camp 2026 Registration

As we close one school year, we are already planning for the next. We are so excited to announce the plans for HCHS Senior Camp this summer!  This will take place at Camp Ao-Wa-Kiya in Shelby, MI from August 14-15 (Friday – Saturday). We wanted to let you know the dates so that you can get them on the calendar. The plan is to meet Friday morning at 10:00am at the High School and return around 3:00 pm on Saturday afternoon.  Please park in the North lot (by the entrance to the gym) of the High School and be here by 10:00 am on Friday.

We are excited to offer this opportunity because we feel that Senior Camp is a very valuable experience as students enter their last year of high school. What an amazing opportunity your student has to begin their SENIOR YEAR!!

The class of 2027 is already very special to us. They are leaders not only in the high school but also in the community. We are excited to spend time praying, singing, journaling, playing, eating, laughing and most of all growing with one another in the Lord.

The form below is provided for registration as well as payment of $75 which includes lodging, 4 meals, an evening snack, and use of the recreation facilities. If this cost for the camp is a financial difficulty, please let us know. We do have scholarships available, and we don’t want the cost to keep anyone from coming to camp.

We are so excited to pour into the lives of our seniors. This is going to be an incredible year! If you have any questions, please feel free to email Kevin Koeman with any questions.
