    Please Check Your Junk Mail!

We are learning after a few unexpected difficulties that not all of our Holland Christian emails are getting through to prospective families, parents, or donors! The problem seems to be with Google, and not with us, so we are unable to fix it currently despite several phone calls to Google itself. We’re finding that many of our emails are going directly to people’s junk mail or spam instead of their inboxes. So if you are filling out new applications, or not receiving anticipated emails from us, please double check your junk email or spam for emails from us!

HC Starting Forest School Young 5s!

We are thrilled to announce that Holland Christian will be launching a Young 5s program within our Forest School (K-2nd) beginning in the 2026–27 school year! This new program will be housed at our newly acquired property, affectionately named “Cedar Creek.” You can view more of the property in this reel with Forest School Principal Miska Rynsburger.

The desire for nature-immersed Young 5s learning opportunities have been expressed within our community, including both from parents and the ODC. We are grateful to be in a position to help meet this need and expand our program offerings!

To be in any Young 5s classroom, students must be 5 years old by December 1, 2026. Priority admission for Forest School Young 5s will be given to students seeking a 5-day program offering, though there may be a 3-day option depending on interest.

We can’t wait to see how Cedar Creek becomes a joyful place of wonder and discovery for our new Forest School Young 5s!

If you have an eligible Young 5s student and are want to learn more about HC’s remarkable Forest School program, please visit our Forest School page. If you are ready to apply to Forest School Young 5s, you will find the “Apply link“ at the top of the general HC Apply page.

      • Spanish Immersion preschools at Rose Park:

        • 4-year-old Spanish Immersion preschool meets 3 days/week for half or full days, OR parents can choose 5 days/week with some classes in English
    • Got questions on Young Fives? Find that info on our All Things Kindergarten page
      • Parents can choose the 5-full-day option or the 3-full-day option at both South Side and Rose Park
    • Got questions on our variety of kindergarten options? (They’re all wonderful choices, and you really can’t go wrong!) Find that info on our All Things Kindergarten page as well, but here’s the quick break down:
      • There’s a 3-full day English kindergarten at Rose Park only that spends weekly time at the Critter Barn.
      • There are 5-full day English kindergartens at both Rose Park and South Side.
      • Spanish Immersion kindergarten is 5-full days at Rose Park only, but there is a Spanish Immersion shuttle to Rose Park from Holland’s south side at the HCHS tennis court parking lot for those parents who live on Holland’s south side, but prefer Spanish Immersion for their elementary students.
      • Forest School kindergarten is 5-full days at the Forest School classrooms.
    • Got questions on Holland Christian High School or Middle School? You can contact our Admissions Coordinator Kristin Coffman at 616.820.2806, or reach out to the principals, Miles Colago at HCHS, and Tom Strickwerda at HCMS.

All that to say, we can’t wait to have you join the HC family!

Online Safety Hub: New parent webpage!

Holland Christian’s tech administrators have worked with Linewize, the company that does HC’s content filtering, to create a handy online resource for parents that has useful and user friendly information about social media, content filtering, and how to have conversations with students about these topics. Please check it out and use it!

  • HC Designs Entrepreneurship Class

    HC Designs Entrepreneurship Class

HCHS’ Entrepreneurship Class is thankful for your business! This fall our Entrepreneurship Class of 16 students combined creativity, technical skills, and business thinking to make a real-world impact. Throughout the course, students designed and built products using an impressive range of tools, including a CNC wood router, CNC plasma cutter, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, and a variety of traditional woodworking equipment.

Students didn’t stop at making products—they built a business. Together, they launched an online store, hcdesigns.store, where they marketed and sold their work to the community. In total, students created more than 40 unique designs, gaining hands-on experience in product development, manufacturing, branding, and sales.

Most importantly, this project was driven by purpose. All profits from sales were donated to Paradise Bound Ministries, a nonprofit organization that has established and supports an orphanage in Guatemala. Through their hard work and collaboration, students raised an impressive $3,101 in profit to support the orphanage.

The HC Designs shop is now closed for the semester, but we look forward to reopening next fall with new students, new designs, and new opportunities to serve! We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who supported our students by purchasing products, sharing our work, and encouraging this project. Your support helped turn student learning into lasting impact!

  • Host an International Student

    Host an International Student

Holland Christian High School is looking for international student host families for the 25-26 school year. Hosting is a great way to share faith, culture and to learn about God’s world together. HCHS has an awesome program that includes support and a $900 monthly stipend to help offset the costs of food and transportation for housing a high school student.

The International Student Program (ISP) has grown significantly over the past two years, and they are now looking for host families for seven additional male students! Five are from China and two are from Korea; four of the boys will be sophomores, while three will be seniors.

Below are introductions to two of our 10th grade students from China:

For more information about being a host family, please contact Kyle Kempster, international student coordinator at 231.730.7779, or Chanho Song.

”“Hosting Mario was one of the best decisions we’ve made for our family. We loved learning about his culture and spiritual life. While Mario was here I saw his relationship with God grow and mold into new ways of worshiping. He loved summer camp at Engedi Church and he really enjoyed all the activities we experienced together. He even made his grandmother’s cheesecake which was so fun and yummy! I can’t wait to take my family to Spain to meet his family!”
